Work hours:Full-time Night Shift 36 hours weekly 3-12 hours shifts 7:00 pm 7:00 am

Justin 4 GI GU Surgical Unit

Justin 4 is a 36bed surgical unit that will care for colorectal gastrointestinal and urology surgery patients. On August 10 the unit will initially open with 20 beds with plans to expand to the full 36 beds later in the year. Patients may be admitted pre or postoperatively with an average length of stay of approximately five days.

  • RN staffing ratio: 1:4
  • PCT staffing ratio: 1:12
  • Positions require 12hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. Team members may be placed on call for regularly scheduled shifts in response to census fluctuations.

The General Surgical Nurse provides care to a wide variety of post op patients including: complex gastro-intestinal urology and colorectal surgeries.
