Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to support adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in residential programs. The RN will coordinate healthcare services monitor medical needs collaborate with healthcare providers and ensure quality care for individuals served.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate medical appointments annual physicals and follow-up care
- Monitor medications lab results and health assessments
- Communicate with physicians specialists hospitals and interdisciplinary teams
- Review and oversee medication administration processes
- Provide health-related training and education to staff
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and compliance records
- Participate in care planning and support individualized healthcare needs
Requirements
- Active New York State RN License
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Strong assessment communication and organizational skills
- Experience in behavioral health developmental disabilities residential care long-term care or community health is a plus
