Job Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment. This ICU Stepdown Unit provides care to a diverse patient population requiring advanced monitoring and specialized nursing interventions. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for cardiac respiratory neurological renal and medically complex patients in an acute care setting.

This unit utilizes a collaborative Co-Care Virtual Nursing Model consisting of a bedside RN virtual RN and CNA to support high-quality patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications
  • Active Alaska RN License required for Auto Offer

  • Pending Alaska License Accepted

  • Must complete Alaska RN License application within 48 hours of signing (including fingerprints application fee and application submission)

  • Current BLS Certification

  • Current ACLS Certification

  • Current NIHSS Certification

  • Minimum 1 Year of Recent PCU Telemetry Stepdown ICU or Acute Care Experience

  • First-Time Travelers Accepted

Responsibilities
  • Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

  • Monitor cardiac respiratory neurological and renal patients.

  • Administer medications IV therapies blood products and treatments.

  • Provide telemetry monitoring and recognize changes in patient condition.

  • Care for patients requiring High Flow Nasal Cannula and BiPAP therapy.

  • Manage patients with CHF MI arrhythmias pacemakers TAVR MVR COPD asthma tracheostomies and chronic ventilator support.

  • Collaborate with physicians virtual nurses CNAs and interdisciplinary teams.

  • Participate in patient education discharge planning and care coordination.

  • Float to lower-acuity units including renal neuro and medical-surgical units within scope as needed.

  • Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR.
