Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

• Patient Monitoring: Conduct continuous telemetry monitoring interpret cardiac rhythms and analyze vital signs to rapidly identify and respond to patient deterioration.
• Clinical Care: Administer complex medications (including cardiac/insulin drips) manage IV therapies and perform treatments such as wound care and device management.
• Collaboration: Work alongside physicians respiratory therapists and the broader healthcare team to develop implement and adjust individualized patient care plans.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate real-time documentation within the hospitals electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Patient Education: Provide compassionate support and education to patients and their families regarding their diagnosis treatment plans and discharge needs.

• Education: Graduate of an accredited professional Nursing program (ADN BSN or MSN).
• Licensure: Active unencumbered Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid compact multi-state license.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required (AHA-certified).
• Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of recent acute care telemetry step-down or critical care experience.
