Position Type: Full Time Hourly

Digestive Health Center of Plano is seeking a Full-Time Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join our team Monday through Fridayno weekends holidays or on-call.

What Youll Do

  • Prepare patients for procedures including assessments education and care planning
  • Provide attentive post-anesthesia recovery care and monitor patient status
  • Administer medications and follow physician orders accurately
  • Deliver patient education including discharge instructions and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical standards
  • Support a safe clean and efficient clinical environment
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Active RN license
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years RN experience (GI PACU OR or acute care preferred)
  • Strong clinical judgment and teamwork skills

Physical & Work Environment Expectations

  • Ability to stand walk bend and move throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift push pull and assist with patient movement (up to 50 pounds)
  • Manual dexterity and ability to perform clinical procedures
  • Work in procedure rooms with medical equipment and disinfecting agents
  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and body fluids
  • Climateâcontrolled environment with occasional reduced lighting
  • Schedule and hours may vary based on patient and Center needs
