Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) for (Part Time FLEX / PRN) shifts.

How you will make an impact

  • Developing relationships with the residents and their families using a consistent caregiver approach supporting the residents physical spiritual emotional and clinical needs and focusing on placing the resident first.

  • Performing all clinical duties in accordance with the state nurse practice act and nursing standards of practice

  • Promoting residents independence by establishing resident care goals teaching resident/family members to understand a residents condition medication and self-care skills

  • Monitoring a resident clinical and care conditions to identify any changes in status and acting on those changes to ensure patient comfort and safety

  • Working alongside the care associates to perform routine nursing care to assigned residents as needed

  • Maintaining infection prevention practices administering medications and performing treatments per orders.

  • Developing and coordinating a comprehensive Holistic plan of care to meet the residents clinical and care needs in collaboration with the interdisciplinary and neighborhood team

  • Supporting residents preferences routines and choices in residents electronic medical record

  • Ensuring that documentation is current accurate and timely.

  • Participating in care conferences for designated residents as requested by Clinical Manager

What you will need

  • A minimum of 6 months experience as an RN

  • Experience in caring for seniors or senior with cognitive impairment preferred

  • Basic computer skills required including experience with Microsoft Office internet and web applications

  • Experience with an electronic medical record is preferred

  • An active RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required. Candidates must have license number registered with the Virginia Department of Health Professions (DHP).

  • CPR certification required. Erickson requires all clinical care team members to maintain a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification.Employees who do not hold a current BLS CPR certification must complete the required training within 90 days from the first day of employment.
