Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU RNPACUJM

Location: State College PA

Duration: 13 Weeks (High possibility of extension or permanent placement)

Shift: Days Flexible Schedule

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) contract opportunity. The RN will provide specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia ensuring safe recovery pain management and discharge readiness. This role serves patients across all age groups from pediatric to geriatric populations.

• Perform comprehensive post-anesthesia patient assessments

• Evaluate patient conditions based on physical assessment medical history and anesthesia reports

• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans

• Maintain airway patency and monitor oxygen saturation levels

• Manage pain control and patient comfort using established protocols

• Monitor patient recovery and evaluate discharge readiness

• Provide detailed patient handoff reports to receiving care teams

• Ensure emergency equipment and supplies are functional and readily available

• Coordinate safe patient transport to appropriate care units

• Collaborate with physicians nurses patients and families to support quality patient outcomes

• Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program

• Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) License

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience

• PACU experience preferred

• Critical Care / ICU experience strongly preferred

• Experience with Meditech EMR required

• Must be willing to participate in on-call rotation
