THE ROLE
PACU for a full-time permanent role in Los Alamos NM 87544. The successful candidate will provide post-anesthesia recovery nursing care monitoring patients immediately following surgical and procedural interventions. This is a direct hire opportunity within a facility-based acute care setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and assess patients in the immediate post-anesthesia recovery phase
- Manage airway hemodynamic stability pain and emergence from anesthesia
- Administer medications and interventions per physician orders and PACU protocols
- Communicate patient status to surgical team anesthesia and receiving unit RN
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation of all PACU assessments and nursing interventions
REQUIREMENTS
Must-Have
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Active and unencumbered RN License - current and in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - current
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience working in PACU
