Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient-centered care for neonatal patients in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to assess plan implement and evaluate individualized nursing care for critically ill newborns and neonatal patients.

The ideal candidate will have strong NICU clinical experience excellent critical thinking skills and a commitment to evidence-based nursing practice.

Shift Details
  • Day Shift
  • 3x12-Hour Schedule
  • Shift Hours: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday coverage as needed
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Assessment
  • Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
  • Perform ongoing neonatal assessments and monitor patient conditions
  • Identify patient care priorities based on acuity and clinical needs
  • Deliver therapeutic nursing interventions for NICU patients
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
  • Advocate for evidence-based nursing practices and patient safety
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
  • Monitor ventilators IV therapy feeding support and neonatal equipment as required
  • Recognize and respond to changes in neonatal patient conditions
  • Support family-centered care and provide education to parents and caregivers
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation
Care Coordination & Quality
  • Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary rounds
  • Ensure compliance with nursing standards policies and procedures
  • Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Promote patient-centered care aligned with professional nursing standards
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
    • New Jersey RN License or Compact RN License
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU or related specialty experience
  • BLS Certification (AHA)
  • NRP Certification (AHA Only)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Previous Level II or Level III NICU experience
  • Pediatric or PICU experience preferred
