Registered Nurse (RN) Level 2 Trauma Operating Room

Inova Loudoun Hospitalis seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to join our team. This team member will support our patients onweekdays. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign-on & relocation bonuses.

Work Schedule: Full-Time Day shift 3/12hr shifts (7am 7pm) with call

We are proud to serve as a high acuity fast paced multispecialty operating room and as Loudoun Countys first and only designated trauma center now Level 2. The Perioperative Services Team at Inova Loudoun Hospital supports 8 state-of-the-art operating suites two special procedure rooms and the latest technology in minimally invasive robotic surgery: the robotic-assisted daVinci Surgical System and MAKOplasty Total Hip and addition to our regularly scheduled surgeries our surgery department is staffed for emergency surgery 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Our facility features 16 private Pre-Op rooms and 14 PACU bays where our patients are prepared for surgery and recover post operatively. We are a growing community hospital offering surgical services in: Trauma General Breast Colon-Rectal Gynecology Urology Orthopedics Podiatry Neurosurgery ENT Vascular Thoracic Maxillofacial and Plastic.

Operating Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities:

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple sometimes conflicting data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships.
• Formulates individualized plans of care based upon assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
• Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions.
• Advocates for patients rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel and acts as a resource to resolve issues.
• Anticipates ethical spiritual and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing patients learning needs.
  

Operating Room Registered Nurse Requirements:

• Experience:Requires a minimum of1 yearof direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Education:BSN or ADN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• License:Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
• Certification:Basic Life Support with American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of RN scrub experience with ortho/spine service line
