More about our team

Our Infection Prevention & Employee Health team plays a critical role in maintaining a safe compliant and highquality care environment for patients staff and visitors. This department partners closely with nursing leadership clinical teams environmental services laboratory and hospital administration to ensure best practices in infection prevention surveillance regulatory compliance and employee health management. This role reports directly to the Director of Quality and serves as a key resource for hospital leadership department managers and medical staff.

How youll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

• Coordinates and evaluates the hospitals infection prevention and control strategies policies and programs.
• Conducts surveillance data collection analysis and reporting of healthcareassociated infection data.
• Oversees cleaning disinfection sterilization and aseptic technique practices across the facility.
• Ensures compliance with local state and federal regulations and accrediting agency standards.
• Performs newhire health screenings and manages employee exposure followup.
• Provides education and serves as a resource to staff leadership and medical providers.
• Supports development of employee health and infection prevention initiatives and annual program evaluations.

A detailoriented nurse with strong criticalthinking skills decisive judgment and a deep understanding of infection prevention principles regulatory compliance and datadriven quality improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelors degree required (degree in progress considered).
• Four years of acute care hospital experience or equivalent required.
• Previous infection prevention experience preferred.
• Current RN license to practice in North Carolina.
• Professional Infection Control Certification required within 1 year of hire/transfer.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire/transfer.
