Job Summary

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) ICU Float Pool (MICU / SICU / CVICU)

Location: Cincinnati OH

Contract Duration: 8 Weeks

Shift:
3x12 Hour Shifts Nights
Every Other Weekend Required

Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical psychosocial spiritual and educational needs
Identify and report changes in patient condition to physicians and charge RN
Utilize structured handoff communication methods including SBAR
Identify patient safety risks and implement safety interventions
Develop and revise individualized plans of care with interdisciplinary teams
Participate in care conferences and shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Deliver evidence-based nursing care according to standards and physician orders
Provide patient and family education tailored to care needs
Respond effectively to emergency and critical care situations
Maintain infection control and safety practices using appropriate PPE
Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
Maintain accurate documentation through electronic medical records

Requirements:
Diploma in Nursing required
Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License eligibility required
Strong critical care nursing knowledge and clinical judgment required
Ability to work in a fast-paced high-acuity ICU environment required
Excellent communication teamwork and confidentiality standards required
Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment and provide age-specific care required
Commitment to ongoing professional development and competency maintenance required
BSN preferred
Prior ICU experience strongly preferred (MICU SICU CVICU exposure ideal)
