Location:Rochester NY

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Shift: 3x12 Evening/Night Rotation (7:00 PM 7:00 AM / 11:00 AM 11:00 PM)

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergency and trauma-related conditions. The RN is responsible for rapid assessment triage treatment coordination critical interventions and ongoing patient monitoring in a fast-paced emergency department environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong emergency nursing experience critical thinking skills and the ability to manage high-acuity patients effectively.

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License required.

• Current AHA BLS Certification required.

• Current AHA ACLS Certification required.

• Current NIHSS Certification required.

• Minimum recent Emergency Department experience required.

• Experience with EPIC EMR required.

• Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills.

• Experience with ventilator management CPAP/BiPAP and IV vasopressors.

• Trauma stroke and emergency care experience required.

• Assess prioritize and provide emergency nursing care to patients of varying acuity levels.

• Perform triage assessments and initiate appropriate interventions.

• Administer medications blood products IV therapies and emergency treatments.

• Monitor and manage cardiac rhythms and emergency response situations.

• Provide care for trauma stroke orthopedic neurological and medical emergency patients.

• Manage ventilated patients and respiratory support therapies.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Follow infection control isolation and patient safety protocols.

• Float to appropriate units based on patient care needs and skillset.

• Central Line Care

• Phlebotomy

• IV Vasopressor Administration

• Ventilator Management
