Job Summary
Location: Rochester NY
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3x12 Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergency trauma neurological cardiac and critical care conditions. The RN is responsible for rapid assessment triage emergency interventions patient stabilization and ongoing monitoring in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively manage high-acuity patients.
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
Current AHA BLS Certification required.
Current AHA ACLS Certification required.
Current NIHSS Certification required.
Recent Emergency Department experience required.
EPIC EMR experience required.
Experience with ventilator management CPAP/BiPAP and IV vasopressors.
Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills.
Trauma stroke and emergency care experience required.
Assess triage and provide emergency nursing care for patients of varying acuity levels.
Administer medications blood products IV therapies and emergency treatments.
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
Provide care for trauma neurological orthopedic and medical emergency patients.
Manage ventilated patients and respiratory support therapies.
Perform phlebotomy IV starts and central line care.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in EPIC.
Follow infection control isolation and patient safety protocols.
Float within skillset as required to support patient care needs.
