Job Summary

A leading healthcare facility in Florida is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment.

The RN will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver individualized patient care while utilizing established nursing practices focused on assessment treatment education and care management.

The ideal candidate will advocate for patients and families while supporting exceptional clinical outcomes and patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient pain regularly and support effective pain management strategies
  • Reassess patients following interventions and accurately document outcomes
  • Perform nursing procedures patient monitoring and treatment activities as ordered
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical record documentation
  • Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate patient care needs
  • Educate patients and families regarding:
    • Medical conditions
    • Treatment plans
    • Medications and possible side effects
    • Follow-up care instructions
  • Translate complex medical information into patient-friendly language
  • Teach wellness and preventive care practices including:
    • Healthy diet and exercise
    • Disease prevention
    • Lifestyle modifications
  • Prepare patients and caregivers for continued self-management after discharge
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Required Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program or RN Diploma program
  • Minimum 6 months of Emergency Department RN experience
Required Certifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 6 months
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) or PALS within 6 months
