About the Role
Provide specialized nursing care for patients recovering from burn injuries and related conditions
Monitor patient progress and respond appropriately to changes in condition
Collaborate with physicians therapists and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
Deliver compassionate support and education to patients and families throughout recovery
Advocate for patient safety comfort and positive clinical outcomes
Responsibilities
Assess patient conditions and identify changes in health status
Administer medications treatments and prescribed therapies
Perform wound care and dressing changes according to established protocols
Monitor pain management effectiveness and patient responses to treatment
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans medications and recovery expectations
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient-centered care
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure
Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe
Previous acute care critical care surgical trauma or burn unit experience preferred
Strong assessment communication and critical thinking skills
