Job Type: Full-Time 0.8 FTE or 64 hours/pp

Schedule: 8 x 8-hour shifts Evenings (3p-11:30p) Rotating Weekends and Holidays

$7500 Sign-On Bonus available to qualified applicants

Join a specialty nursing unit where you can build valuable clinical expertise while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. Our 34-bed unit is currently staffed for 21 patients with plans to grow alongside census needs. Nurses enjoy the rewarding experience of seeing patients progress and stabilize over time something not always possible in traditional inpatient settings. The team is highly collaborative supportive and committed to maintaining a safe environment for both patients and staff creating a strong sense of camaraderie and purpose every day.

How youll contribute

A Behavioral Health RNwho excels in this role:

  • Performs plan of care intervention including medication administration specimen collection clinical treatments as well as other medical care treatment.

  • Documents patient care given.

  • Monitors records and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team physician patient and family.

  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living including personal hygiene elimination nutrition and ambulation.

  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care including patient transfer discharge referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age culture condition and circumstances.

  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What were looking for

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associates degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelors preferred).

Additional requirements include

  • Basic Life SupportHealth Care Provider (BLS-HCP)

  • Handle with Care-Advanced (ACLS) (within 90 days)
