Provides direct patient care based on the knowledge of ANA Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing Butler Hospital policies and procedures and the RI Nurse Practice Act.
- Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of their patients.
- Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies in such a manner that assures that the individual in crisis is properly cared for and that all other patients are safe.
- Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
- Administers medications with knowledge of action mode of administration side effects and contraindications.
- Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
- B.S.N preferred.
- Current RI nursing license.
Schedule: 20/40 Part Time Evenings - Every Other Weekend
