Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown

Location: Akron OH
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift Details:

• Night Shift 3x12 Hours
• 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
• Every other holiday required

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown Registered Nurse to join a leading acute care hospital in Akron OH. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong critical care judgment and clinical expertise.

• Deliver direct patient care in the PCU/Stepdown unit
• Monitor assess and manage patients with complex medical conditions
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate timely and compliant clinical documentation

• Minimum 18 months recent PCU/Stepdown experience required
• Minimum 18 months of permanent acute care experience prior to travel assignments
• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact State) required at time of submission
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Current AHA ACLS certification required
• Must successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate testing during orientation
