Position Title: Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Rochester NY 14621
Duration: 13-week
Work Schedule: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Pay rate: $60/hr - $65/hr.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients requiring progressive/step-down level care.
- Monitor patients through continuous telemetry and cardiac monitoring.
- Assess interpret and respond to cardiac dysrhythmias and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications IV therapies and cardiac drips without titration as ordered.
- Monitor vital signs neurological status oxygen levels and overall patient condition.
- Provide oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management when required.
- Perform central and peripheral line care including assessment and maintenance.
- Administer and monitor blood products according to facility protocols.
- Respond to emergencies and participate in Rapid Response and Code Team activities.
- Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR.
- Follow isolation precautions and appropriate PPE protocols.
Qualifications
- Active New York RN License is required pending licenses are not accepted.
- New York is not a Compact State so an active NY Single-State RN License is mandatory.
- ACLS BLS and NIHSS are required.
- Please ensure a valid NIHSS certification is included with the candidates submission.
