The Registered Nurse (RN) supports pre-op PACU and stepdown patient care at Orthopaedic Institute Surgery Center. This position is responsible for assessing patients delivering individualized nursing care monitoring recovery and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe efficient procedures and optimal outcomes.
Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care in perioperative settings
Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery
Document accurately and communicate effectively with team members and patients
Maintain sterile environments and adhere to safety protocols
Support patient education and post-op instructions
Graduate of an accredited RN program
Current NJ RN license (unencumbered)
At least 1 year of OR or perioperative nursing experience (within last 35 years)
Current BLS (ACLS required within 6 months)
Preferred: Member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN)
Strong clinical judgment communication and teamwork skills
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Frequent standing walking lifting and manual dexterity
Exposure to surgical environments equipment and patient care areas
Full-time on-site position (MondayFriday) no weekend holidays or on call.
