Summary: Utilizes the principles of the nursing process to provide for continuity and quality of nursing care administered to a specific group of neonate pediatric adolescent adult or geriatric patients consistent with the philosophy goals policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and Hospital Administration. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of patient served on nursing unit or by patient care departments. Assumes responsibility for implementation of the Pre-Surgical Testing Program.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Experience: Minimum of one year of surgical experience. Perioperative and pre surgical testing experience preferred.
License: Current license issued by New York State to practice as a Registered Nurse. BCLS required.
