We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Pediatrics to provide high-quality patient care in an acute care hospital environment. The RN will deliver compassionate patient-centered nursing care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support positive patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong pediatric nursing skills excellent communication abilities and the flexibility to float to qualified units as operationally needed.
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in accordance with established nursing standards and facility protocols
- Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient conditions vital signs and responses to treatment interventions
- Administer medications treatments and therapies safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians respiratory therapists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams regarding patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation within the electronic medical record system
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans medications and discharge instructions
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in patient condition
- Float to qualified units and campuses as needed based on staffing and census requirements
- Ensure compliance with infection control patient safety and hospital policies and procedures
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience required
- NICU experience preferred but not required
- Active South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- Pending licenses not accepted
- Strong communication organizational and critical thinking skills required
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Current BLS Certification required
- Current PALS Certification required
- Current NRP Certification required
- Start date anticipated approximately 3 weeks after signed contract
- Local candidates accepted at adjusted local rates
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application and is subject to facility approval
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may cancel up to 1 shift every 2 weeks based on census needs
