Registered Nurse Pediatric CVOR

CCHMC CVOR RN Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery All documents are due 3 Fridays prior to the start date for this facility. First-Time Travelers Accepted CCHMC will consider first-time travelers; however candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty they are applying for. Experience Requirements Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required Pediatric experience required Preferred experience in: Cardiothoracic (CT) surgery Scrubbing in CT procedures Call Requirements 1 2 call days per week Two 48-hour weekend call shifts every 8 weeks Required response time: 30 minutes Unit Overview Cincinnati Children s Cardiothoracic Surgery team cares for some of the most complex congenital heart disease cases treating patients from birth through adulthood. Common diagnoses include: Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome Tetralogy of Fallot Double Outlet Right Ventricle Dextrocardia Other congenital cardiac and great vessel malformations Key Responsibilities Circulating and maintaining patient safety in the operating room Assisting during cardiopulmonary bypass procedures Facilitating and maintaining appropriate surgical time-outs Special Equipment & Skills Experience with the following is required/preferred: Cardiopulmonary bypass Specialized cardiac trays and OR equipment used in cardiothoracic surgery Scheduling & Time-Off Guidelines RTO requests must be submitted at the time of submission or they will not be honored Maximum of 5 RTO days allowed No block scheduling requests permitted unless requesting weekends only (Friday Sunday) Vaccination Requirements Candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 No exemptions or declinations accepted (medical or religious) Additional Notes Previous CCHMC employees are not eligible for contract positions until 1 year after their termination date
