Registered Nurse PCU

• Patient Monitoring:Manage and monitor telemetry and critically ill patients with acute conditions including heart failure myocardial infarctions acute strokes and post-ablation or catheterization recovery.
• Clinical Interventions:Administer cardiac medications manage vasoactive drips and assist with newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators.
• Assessments:Conduct frequent in-depth physical and neurological assessments.
• Team Collaboration:Partner with interdisciplinary teams including physicians physical therapists and discharge planners to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Leadership:Coordinate unit workflow delegate tasks effectively to Patient Care Techs (PCTs) and act as a clinical resource for staff development.

• Education:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or MSN is highly preferred.
• License:Current active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience:Minimum of 18 months of acute care RN experience (Experience in telemetry acute stroke or cardiac care is strongly preferred).
• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 1 year of hire.
