Registered Nurse (RN) PACU Travel Contract

Location: Hackensack NJ

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift Monday Friday

Hours: 4042.5 Hours Per Week

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive admission and preoperative nursing assessments.

• Start IVs and prepare patients for procedures.

• Monitor and manage patients in PACU and post-procedure recovery.

• Assess patient conditions and prioritize care needs.

• Administer therapeutic nursing interventions as required.

• Provide post-anesthesia monitoring and recovery care.

• Document patient care accurately and timely.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Advocate for evidence-based nursing practices.

• Ensure patient safety and continuity of care throughout the perioperative process.

• Support Interventional Radiology recovery patients as needed.

Preferred:

• 3 years of PACU experience.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

• Experience in Interventional Radiology recovery settings.

• Strong IV insertion and post-anesthesia recovery experience.

• Experience in high-acuity or hospital-based perioperative units.

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (NJ or Compact).

• Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care Pre-Op and PACU experience.

• Strong Telemetry background.

• Telemetry Certification required.

• Current BLS (AHA) certification.

• Current ACLS (AHA) certification.

• Current PALS (AHA) certification.

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) minimum.

• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
