Registered Nurse PACU

Position / Specialty: Pre/Post PACU Phase I/II - Recovery Room Pre/Post PACU. Duties include preparing patients before surgery placing an IV doing assessment administering medication recovering patients in phase I and phase II and discharge education. Surgery specialties are mostly ENT and ophthalmology. Shifts are 5 days per week 6:30a-15:00p. Patient ratio is 1:2 in Phase 1 and 1:3 in Phase 2 Years of experience REQ: 5 First-timers accepted: 1 year experience in PACU for experienced travelers. We will take first time travelers with 2 years of PACU experience & EPIC experience. Weekend REQ: N Certs REQ: BLS ACLS PALS Is on-call REQ (Y/N) What is the req N Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs Y Open to accommodating block schedule (Y/N) N Locals accepted: (Y/N) What is the local radius rule N Pending License accepted: (Y/N) Y Guaranteed Hours: 24 Requirements: Previous pre/post experience required. Will require BLS ACLS and PALS. This position is for the BJWC Surgery Center (450 N. New Ballas Road Suite 130 St. Louis MO 63141). Required skills are IV starts nursing assessment and good customer service. Must have experience in the pre and post-anesthesia care of patients. No call no weekends no holidays required.
