About the Opportunity

A well-established outpatient specialty healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join its clinical team in the Des Moines area. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking a predictable daytime schedule in a patient-focused surgical environment.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working directly with patients throughout their treatment journey assisting clinical providers with procedures providing education and ensuring a high standard of care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers during outpatient surgical and procedural treatments
  • Prepare treatment rooms equipment and supplies for patient care
  • Educate patients regarding procedures recovery expectations and post-treatment instructions
  • Monitor patient status before during and after procedures
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and documentation
  • Respond to patient questions and concerns within scope of practice
  • Coordinate care with providers and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Follow infection control standards safety protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with inventory management and equipment maintenance
  • Deliver exceptional patient service while maintaining a professional and compassionate approach

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure in Iowa
  • Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence

Preferred

  • One or more years of nursing experience
  • Experience in surgical procedural ambulatory perioperative or outpatient healthcare settings
  • Familiarity with patient education and recovery care protocols
