About the Opportunity
A well-established outpatient specialty healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join its clinical team in the Des Moines area. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking a predictable daytime schedule in a patient-focused surgical environment.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working directly with patients throughout their treatment journey assisting clinical providers with procedures providing education and ensuring a high standard of care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers during outpatient surgical and procedural treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms equipment and supplies for patient care
- Educate patients regarding procedures recovery expectations and post-treatment instructions
- Monitor patient status before during and after procedures
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and documentation
- Respond to patient questions and concerns within scope of practice
- Coordinate care with providers and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Follow infection control standards safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Assist with inventory management and equipment maintenance
- Deliver exceptional patient service while maintaining a professional and compassionate approach
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure in Iowa
- Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
Preferred
- One or more years of nursing experience
- Experience in surgical procedural ambulatory perioperative or outpatient healthcare settings
- Familiarity with patient education and recovery care protocols
