Overview:

Sentara RMH Medical Center is now hiring a Registered Nurse for the Joints/Observation unit. This position is ideal for candidates who have experience or interest in postoperative joint surgery care and observation patients.

Shifts: Multiple - Days and NIghts

Weekly schedule hours: 36

Weekends: every other weekends

Education

Associates Degree Nursing

OR

Bachelors Degree Nursing

OR

Upcoming graduate from an accredited RN program

Certification/Licensure

• Registered Nurse
• Will consider candidates working towards licensure

Experience

• Previous acute care experience preferred
• All levels of experience are encouraged to apply

Transition to Practice/Nurse Residency Program

This 10-week TTP program focuses on the orientation transition experience with intentional knowledge support and skill acquisition for practice in Medical-Surgical areas. For new graduates this TTP program is the start of a comprehensive 6-month residency program to support your transition to practice.

Program includes:

• Formal delivery of fundamental nursing concepts and standards with in-person sessions utilizing case studies gaming simulation and skills labs
• Exposure to Sentara policies and evidence-based practice guidelines
• Hands-on experience alongside a trained nurse preceptor
• Opportunity to share your experiences/ networking with peers in a safe protected environment
• A series of virtual professional development sessions with mentoring (optional for experienced nurses)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages inclusive of base pay incentives and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials on-call pay overtime shift premiums extra-shift incentives or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications experience location market conditions and business needs.
