Registered Nurse Operating Room

As our RN you will assume responsibility for facilitating communicating and collaborating with the healthcare team and patient/family to meet the physical emotional and spiritual needs of the patient advancing modern nursing through compassionate care.

• Assess patients physical psychosocial cultural and spiritual needs through observation interview review of medical records & clinical data.
• Evaluates patients response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including but not limited to IVs incision/wound care medication administration catheterization and specimen collections.
• Thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
• Document ongoing status interventions patient response and outcomes in an accurate timely manner.

Schedule: 40hrs/week- Days- Variable shifts per surgical volume and current unit needs.

Call Required: 5-7 call shifts per 6week schedule

30 Min Call back radius required.

• Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
• RN License in state of employment
• Physical Requirements: Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently and/or up to 10lbs. constantly

Preferred

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing
• One (1) year experience
• Previous OR experience

As an Operating Room RN At Holy Cross Hospital Salt Lake you will be circulating for a diverse caseload across 10 OR suites averaging 350400 procedures per month. The facility is a Center of Excellence in Robotics Total Joints and Bariatrics. Additional surgical services include; Neurosurgery General ENT Podiatry Plastics Pain Management and Endoscopy. There are no service teams team members are cross trained to cover all services.
