Registered Nurse – Operating Room RNOR 26-06688

Location: Anchorage AK
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift 3x12-Hour Shifts
Weekly Gross Pay: Up to $2800/week (Based on Experience)

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic perioperative team in a high-acuity surgical environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering safe high-quality patient care throughout the surgical experience.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients before during and after operative procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms with appropriate equipment instruments and supplies.
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons anesthesiologists surgical technologists and interdisciplinary team members.
• Monitor patient status throughout procedures and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Perform accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system.
• Support patient safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts.
• Assist with patient positioning specimen handling and perioperative assessments.
• Participate in unit-based training education and ongoing professional development.
• Float to comparable units as needed based on departmental staffing requirements.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN).

Licensure

• Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) License required at the time of submission.

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)

• Minimum of two (2) years of recent Operating Room nursing experience.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.
• Experience with perioperative patient care and surgical procedures.
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
