Southwest General Health Center is a 352-bed community hospital located in Middleburg Heights Ohio. REGISTERED NURSE OPERATING ROOM

Southwest General has 16 operating rooms that provide a variety of inpatient and outpatient surgical services including General GYN Ortho Neuro ENT Vascular Urology Endoscopy and Robotics. Patient acuity varies. Call is required and on call sleep rooms are available. Amount of call and weekends depend on department needs. New grads are considered CNOR credential is preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:
A professional caregiver who plans provides and directs patient care and teaching utilizing the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders. They act as a liaison between physicians patient and family and collaborates with other health care members. Theyassist in the orientation process of new personnel and may participate in health center and department committees. The staff nurse must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age groups according to specific chronological age developmental age and/or psycho-social maturity.
On call obligation required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current licensure by Ohio State Board of Nursing.

Required length of experience:
Experience preferred.

Required licensure certification and/or registry:
Current license by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
CPR BLS required.
CNOR preferred.
