About the Facility

Red Lake IHS Hospital is a federal healthcare facility operated by the Indian Health Service providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians and surrounding communities. The facility offers:

Responsibilities



  • Provide professional nursing care to medical/surgical patients in an inpatient setting

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and mid-level providers

  • Monitor patient vital signs condition changes and treatment responses

  • Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record

  • Coordinate patient care with physicians pharmacists therapists and other healthcare team members

  • Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses treatments medications and discharge planning

  • Respond to emergent and urgent patient situations following established protocols

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice

  • Maintain compliance with infection control safety and regulatory standards



Requirements



  • Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. state

  • Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience preferred

  • Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

  • Proficiency with electronic health records

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team



Schedule

Full-time 40 hours per week. Shifts may include days evenings nights weekends and holidays based on facility needs.
