Registered Nurse (RN) Med-Surg Step-down / Telemetry

Location: Rome NY

Job Type: 14-Week Contract Local & Traveler

Schedule: Night Shift 3x12 Hours 07:00 PM 07:00 AM 36 Hours/Week

Pay Rate:

• Local: $2000 - $2050/Week

• Traveler: $2300 - $2350/Week

We are seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg Step-down / Telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients requiring cardiac monitoring and intermediate-level care.

• Active RN License required.

• BLS ACLS and NIHSS Certifications required.

• ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.

• Minimum 12 years of recent Step-down PCU or Telemetry experience.

• Strong cardiac monitoring and patient assessment skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment.

• Provide nursing care to Med-Surg Step-down and Telemetry patients.

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

• Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.

• Develop and implement individualized care plans.

• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
