Job Summary

- Assess patients physical psychosocial cultural and spiritual needs through observation interview review of medical records & clinical data.
- Evaluates patients response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including but not limited to IVs incision/wound care medication administration catheterization and specimen and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
- Document ongoing status interventions patient response and outcomes in an accurate timely information technology to communicate manage knowledge mitigate error and support decision-making.
- Promote advocate and collaborate to protect the health and safety and rights of each patient/family education through assessment of patient/family learning readiness needs and ability.
- Provide teaching and evaluate effectiveness of teaching.

- Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
- Active and unencumbered RN License in state of employment
- BLS from the American Heart Association
- ACLS from the American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- PALS
- One year recent RN experience
- Physical Requirements: Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently and/or up to 10lbs. constantly

- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
Our Med Surg unit takes patients from 30 days old until death. Our staff have the unique opportunity to serve our community by taking a wide range of ages diagnosis and cultural backgrounds. Sticking to ratios of 4-5 days and 5-6 nights with a tech the Med Surg unit partners with the ICU to ensure that patients with higher acuity are moved into the ICU to ensure Med Surg care for all patients. This is unique for our region and we are very lucky to have this. We look for people that are team players patient focused always looking to provide higher levels of care and adaptability. Including swing beds we have a total of 15 patient rooms all which can be double bunked however we only do single rooms.
