Location: Chariton IowaPay Rate: $53/hr to $56/hr
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Night Shift Sunday Tuesday 6:00 PM 6:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care experience preferred About the Role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse Med Surg for a 13-week contract opportunity in Chariton Iowa. This role provides direct patient care supports total nursing care planning and helps maintain safe effective care for Med Surg patients during night shifts.
Responsibilities
Provide direct Med Surg nursing care and support patient-centered treatment plans
Assess patient needs prioritize care and respond calmly during emergencies
Administer medications IV therapy and nursing interventions safely and accurately
Document patient care observations and treatment responses in a timely manner
Communicate with physicians nurses and departments to support continuity of care
Requirements
Active Iowa Registered Nurse license required
Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification required within 6 months of hire
Acute care or Med Surg nursing experience preferred
Must be available for night shifts weekends rotating shifts and holiday coverage
