Job Summary

Update and maintain client charts
Provide diagnostic tests as directed and/or needed
Establish and maintain an open line of communication with all therapists program managers and off campus programs
Provides ongoing education for infectious disease Hepatitis vitals and medications for employees
Attend nursing meetings as scheduled
Carry out orders as received from doctors and/or nurse practitioners
Monitor height weight blood pressure and pulse of clients and reports to doctors and/or nurse practitioners
May be involved in the planning organization and implementation of special events specific projects or program changes
Demonstrate positive leadership promote a team-based work environment and a culture of belonging.
Exhibit positivity flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
Present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.
For Outpatient Treatment staff nurse:
Complete prior authorizations for medication and return phone calls to clients/families prior to end of shift
Coordinate the medical portion of client care while receiving services at OhioGuidestone
Complete nursing assessments for clients
Assist with referrals for clients to see health care professionals
Rotate shift or site as need based on staffing needs
Provides ongoing education on mental health diagnosis and medications
Associates degree in Nursing required; Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred
Valid State of Ohio Registered Nursing License required
- Experience and/or knowledge with mental health and substance abuse within children adolescents and adult population preferredâ
Outpatient office experience recommended

Ability to customarily and regularly exercise discretion and good professional judgment
Flexible; able to work days evenings and/or weekends as desired to meet the needs of clients
Strong organizational skills; able to handle multiple priorities with strict attention to detail and perform work independently.
Ability to maintain relevant timely documentation as required.
Effective computer literacy skills including Windows applications Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records etc.
Must be able to access work locations offices and homes as necessary which may include ascending/descending stairs.
Possess a valid Ohio Drivers License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
Successfully complete pre-employment screenings including drug tests background checks and any other required assessments such as a physical examination and TB test.
