• Update and maintain client charts

• Provide diagnostic tests as directed and/or needed

• Establish and maintain an open line of communication with all therapists program managers and off campus programs

• Provides ongoing education for infectious disease Hepatitis vitals and medications for employees

• Attend nursing meetings as scheduled

• Carry out orders as received from doctors and/or nurse practitioners

• Monitor height weight blood pressure and pulse of clients and reports to doctors and/or nurse practitioners

• May be involved in the planning organization and implementation of special events specific projects or program changes

For Outpatient Treatment staff nurse:

• Complete prior authorizations for medication and return phone calls to clients/families prior to end of shift

• Coordinate the medical portion of client care while receiving services at OhioGuidestone

• Complete nursing assessments for clients

• Assist with referrals for clients to see health care professionals

• Rotate shift or site as need based on staffing needs

• Provides ongoing education on mental health diagnosis and medications

• Associates degree in Nursing required; Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred

• Valid State of Ohio Registered Nursing License required

• Experience and/or knowledge with mental health and substance abuse within children adolescents and adult population preferredâ

• Outpatient office experience recommended

• Ability to customarily and regularly exercise discretion and good professional judgment

• Flexible; able to work days evenings and/or weekends as desired to meet the needs of clients

• Ability to maintain relevant timely documentation as required.

• Effective computer literacy skills including Windows applications Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records etc.

• Must be able to access work locations offices and homes as necessary which may include ascending/descending stairs.

• Possess a valid Ohio Drivers License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.

• Successfully complete pre-employment screenings including drug tests background checks and any other required assessments such as a physical examination and TB test.
