Full-Time

Overview:

The IR Nurse is responsible for pre-procedure preparation intra-procedure monitoring and support and post-procedure recovery and patient education. This position requires strong clinical judgment attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical history labs and obtaining informed consent
  • Administer medications including moderate sedation in accordance with protocols
  • Monitor patient status and vital signs throughout procedures
  • Assist physicians while maintaining sterile technique
  • Identify and respond to complications or emergencies
  • Provide post-procedure care recovery monitoring and discharge instructions
  • Educate patients and families on procedures risks and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with radiology nursing and ancillary teams to ensure seamless workflow

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduated from a school of nursing.
  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.


Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
