$10000 Sign-On Bonus
Shift: Full Time; 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Every 3rd Weekend & Every other holiday

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)! Our 8-bed specialty unit provides advanced care for acutely ill post-operative patients managing complex conditions with advanced therapies and technologies including intra-aortic balloon pumps CRRT and vasoactive medication infusions.

SICU nurses receive extensive training in the recovery and ongoing care of immediate post-operative open-heart patients while caring for a diverse patient population including trauma thoracic vascular and abdominal surgery cases. Responsibilities
  • Delivers high quality care utilizing the nursing process while demonstrating knowledge and clinical skills of the specialty required on assigned unit in accordance with established policies procedures and standards of care.
  • Consults appropriate resources within the hospital to provide specialized education.
  • Demonstrates knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately.
  • Promptly completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patients care.
  • Continues professional development and involvement in professional activities that enhance nursing practice by sharing knowledge through networking and research.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Diploma from an RN program.

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state.
    • Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
  • Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must possess and maintain ACLS
