Registered Nurse GIG Emergency Department

Do you thrive in a fast-paced emergency care environment Mercys GIG Nursing Program is seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses who want the flexibility to choose shifts while making an immediate impact on patient care.

Participation in the GIG Nursing Program requires nurses to self-schedule a minimum number of hours maintain flexibility for short-notice staffing needs and accept the possibility of last-minute shift cancellations. GIG positions do not guarantee hours and are the first positions subject to cancellation.

• $40/hour Base Rate

Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.

BSN

Must maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact state licensure and meet all applicable state board of nursing requirements.

• Minimum two (2) years of recent bedside RN experience in Emergency Nursing within the last 2 years.

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

• Epic EMR experience

• Ability to push pull and/or lift 50 pounds regularly

• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts

• Ability to grip reach bend kneel twist and squat while performing patient care duties
