Registered Nurse Fellow (RN) Emergency Department

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for an experienced Nurse who is looking for an experienced Nurse who is interested in transitioning to the ED specialty to participate in our Fellowship program that begins November 9th 2026. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on and relocation bonuses.

Schedule/Hours: Full Time Night Shift 7p-7a

Inova Fair Oaks Emergency Room is a 34-bed emergency services facility recently renovated and expanded to serve patients both adult and pediatric more efficiently. Emergency medical care is provided by board-certified physicians from Virginia Emergency Medical Associates (VEMA).

Emergency Room Nurse Fellow Responsibilities:

• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient family nurse and healthcare delivery team.
• Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.
• Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes
• Utilize standards guidelines and pathways for care delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience:A minimum ofone yearas a Registered Nurse.
• Education: Bachelors Degree Nursing or Associates Degree. If RN has an Associates Degree within 2 years of date of hire they must meet with their nurse leader and conduct the following: 1.) Identify which accredited school they plan to attend 2.) Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date 3.) Submit a review of transcripts from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses 4.) Complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• License/Certification:Must be RN licensed or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN. BLS from American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience:candidates will possess 2 years of critical care / acute care experience.
• Certifications: CEN/ACLS
• Other: Proficient in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others. Proficient computer skills required.
