Job Summary

Title: Registered Nurse Endoscopy (GI/Endo RN)

Location: Potsdam New York

Duration: Contract Assignment

Schedule: Monday Friday

Shift Timing: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare LLC isseeking an experienced GI/Endoscopy Registered Nurse to support both inpatient and outpatient endoscopy services. The ideal candidate will have strong procedural experience excellent patient care skills and the ability to assist with a wide range of endoscopic and bronchoscopy procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care in inpatient and outpatient endoscopy settings

  • Assist physicians during GI and pulmonary procedures

  • Prepare procedure rooms equipment and supplies

  • Assist with biopsies and specimen collection

  • Monitor patients before during and after procedures

  • Ensure proper infection control and sterilization practices

  • Process and disinfect endoscopic equipment

  • Maintain accurate patient documentation

  • Restock procedure rooms and supply carts

  • Follow Universal Protocol and Time-Out procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • Active RN License required

  • BLS Certification required

  • Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy or GI nursing experience

  • Strong knowledge of endoscopy equipment and procedures

  • Excellent communication and patient care skills

Required Clinical Experience:

  • Inpatient Endoscopy

  • Outpatient Endoscopy Center

  • Portable/Bedside Procedures

  • Colonoscopy

  • EGD Procedures

  • Bronchoscopy

  • Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS)

  • Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)

  • Esophageal Foreign Body Removal

  • Balloon Dilations (CRE Balloon)
