About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Registered Nurse Emergency Room for a 13-week day shift assignment in Hilo HI. This role supports a fast-paced 28-bed Emergency Department with trauma bays behavioral health rooms and cardiac monitor rooms. The nurse must be comfortable working in a high-volume team-oriented emergency care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct emergency nursing care to patients.

• Assess triage monitor and respond to patient needs.

• Support care in trauma behavioral health and cardiac-monitored rooms.

• Administer medications treatments and emergency interventions.

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.

• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC.

• Support fast patient turnover while maintaining safe care standards.

• Follow emergency department policies safety standards and clinical protocols.

Requirements

• Active Hawaii Registered Nurse license required by start of assignment.

• Candidates without an active Hawaii license must apply upon offer acceptance.

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required.

• BLS required.

• ACLS required.

• PALS required.

• Procedural Sedation preferred.

• TNCC preferred.

• ENPC preferred.

• EPIC experience preferred.

• Holiday coverage required.

• Must arrive the Thursday before start date for Friday employee health appointment.
