JOB DESCRIPTION-
Registered Nurse Director - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
RN DIR - NICU
Full-Time
Registered Nurse Director candidates for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will have the following job responsibilities:
- The patient care director will have operational responsibility and accountability for care delivery within their business unit and hospital.
- Provide leadership for improving patient care planning staff performance systems improvements and other programs that support the culture of the facility as well as HealthONEs strategic objectives.
- The director will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to enhance and drive an integrated model of person-centered care.
- Provide leadership and coordination of clinical practice standards and ensure clinical care is provided according to quality licensing and accreditation standards.
- Supports an environment of continuous improvement promoting evidence-based practice and patient care delivery.
- Measures actual budgetary performance and drives systematic improvement in collaboration with ACNO.
- May also provide direct patient care when needed.

Registered Nurse Director candidates for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit must meet the minimum job qualifications:
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. Current BLS certification.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN required. MSN or other healthcare-related advanced degree e.g. MBA or MHA is preferred.
- Experience: At least five years of acute care/specialty nursing is desirable in the area of specialty. At least three years of previous experience in a charge/supervisory or management position.
