Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Patient & Guest Support:Serve as the first point of contact for patients and families greeting them warmly providing wayfinding assistance and answering inquiries.
- Patient Scheduling & Registration:Accurately schedule medical appointments procedures and tests. Manage patient check-ins and verify demographic and insurance information.
- Issue Resolution:Actively research and resolve telephone and in-person inquiries related to billing medical records and scheduling.
- Administrative Documentation:Enter data efficiently into the hospitals electronic health records system. Manage MyChart messages and assist with patient portals.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration:Coordinate with triage nurses clinical teams and billing departments to ensure a smooth patient transition and resolve any roadblocks.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education:High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience:Minimum ofyears of customer service or high-volume call center experience. Prior data entry and scheduling experience are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency with computers and hospital software (Epic Beaker or similar EMR systems) is a significant advantage.
- Soft Skills:Outstanding verbal and written communication a compassionate and empathetic demeanor and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospital environment.
