Job Summary

Registered Nurses (RNs) provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings including hospitals clinics and community health programs. RNs assess patient health develop care plans administer treatments and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Primary Responsibilities

Assess patient health monitor vital signs and document patient prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with medical implement and update patient care patients and families on health conditions and wellness in multidisciplinary care teams to plan and implement care accurate patient records and comply with health regulations.

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of nursing principles practices and to perform physical assessments and recognize changes in patient in administering medications and treatments communication skills for patient interaction and team to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Arkansas.

Satisfaction of the minimum qualifications including years of experience and service does not entitle employees to automatic progression within the job series. Promotion to the next classification level is at the discretion of the department and the Office of Personnel Management taking into consideration the employees demonstrated skills competencies performance workload responsibilities and organizational needs.
