Cardiovascular Surgical Institute of NW Florida is an ambulatory surgery center located in Panama City FL. With two operating rooms the center provides high-quality cost-effective outpatient surgical care primarily for Cardiovascular procedures.

Role Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) supports patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiovascular procedures. This position is responsible for assessing patients before and after procedures delivering individualized nursing care monitoring patient status during recovery and collaborating with cardiologists and the Cath lab team to ensure safe efficient procedures and optimal outcomes.

Hours: PRN during Monday-Friday

What Youll Do

• Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab and recovery settings

• Monitor patient status before during and after cardiac and vascular procedures

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional Cath lab procedures

• Administer medications monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition

• Document accurately and communicate effectively with team members physicians and patients

• Maintain sterile environments and adhere to safety and infection prevention protocols

• Support patient education regarding procedures recovery and discharge instructions

• Ensure proper operation and handling of Cath lab equipment and supplies

What Youll Bring

• Graduate of an accredited RN program

• Current RN license (unencumbered)

• At least 1 year of Cath Lab ICU ER telemetry or critical care nursing experience (within last 35 years)

• Current BLS certification required

• ACLS certification required (or obtained within 6 months of hire)

• Preferred: Prior experience with cardiac monitoring moderate sedation or interventional procedures

• Strong clinical judgment communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in high-acuity situations

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Frequent standing walking lifting and manual dexterity

• Exposure to procedural environments radiation medical equipment and patient care areas

• Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations

• Full-time on-site position (MondayFriday with possible call rotation)
