Job Summary

Position Overview
Join a collaborative and compassionate team in our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) where your expertiseand your heartmake a meaningful impact. Were seeking an openminded eagertolearn Registered Nurse to join us in a parttime night shift role working two 12hour night shifts per week. This position is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a highacuity environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patientcentered care during the critical overnight hours.

As a CVICU RN youll care for a diverse and complex patient population including individuals recovering from openheart abdominal and vascular surgeries as well as patients experiencing cardiogenic shock respiratory failure COPD and other serious conditions. Your skills and compassion will support patients and families when they need it most while you work alongside a dedicated teamfocused group of night shift professionals.

Compensation Range:

$40.70 - $61.05 per hour depending on experience

Sign-On Bonus

Up to a $25000 sign-on bonus for candidates who meet eligibility criteria.

What Youll Do
  • Assess plan coordinate implement and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients

  • Serve as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit needs

  • Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management

  • Safely administer medications according to UHS policies

  • Support effective resource utilization including staffing time and supplies

  • Comply with all nursing practice standards regulatory requirements and UHS policies

  • Participate in Nursing Shared Governance Unit Council and improvement initiatives

  • Contribute to peer review evidencebased practice and quality improvement

  • Provide support and guidance to new employees and students

  • Perform Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator responsibilities when assigned

  • Engage in ongoing professional development continuing education and mandatory training

  • Participate in the Clinical Ladder Program as your expertise grows

Education & Experience
Minimum Required:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Preferred:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting

Licensure & Certifications

Minimum Required:
  • Current New York State Registered Nurse License

Preferred:
  • CCRN certification

  • Additional skills certifications as required (e.g. ACLS PALS TNCC)
