About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Care Unit Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract opportunity in Chico California. This role supports medium to high-acuity cardiac patients including pre-operative and post-operative cardiovascular cases telemetry cardiac patients and patients requiring a higher level of nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to cardiovascular and cardiac progressive care patients.

• Monitor patients with cardiac diagnoses MI CHF arrhythmias pacemakers and post-surgical needs.

• Assess patient condition and respond to changes in clinical status.

• Administer medications treatments and nursing interventions as ordered.

• Support pre-operative and post-operative cardiac care needs.

• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC.

• Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary care teams.

• Float to other units including Med/Surg as needed.

Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse license required.

• BLS/BCLS certification required.

• ACLS certification required.

• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required.

• EPIC charting experience required.

• Successful completion of prior travel assignments required.

• Cardiac Progressive Care CVICU Cardiovascular ICU Telemetry Cardiac or Critical Care experience preferred.

• Must be a W-2 employee of the agency.

• Day shift and holiday coverage availability required.
