PACU RN for NEBHs hospital-licensed Ambulatory Surgery Center at 1 Brookline Place is a high-performing outpatient facility specializing in same-day surgical care. The ASC features four fully equipped operating rooms and is designed to support high-volume procedures with an emphasis on safety efficiency and exceptional patient experience.This state-of-the-art center offers a dynamic and collaborative environment for clinicians committed to excellence in perioperative care patient safety and continuous improvement. Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe high-quality perioperative nursing care while exercising sound clinical judgment throughout the surgical experience.
Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care in accordance with NEBH standards policies and evidence-based practice.
Collaborate with surgeons anesthesia providers and the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain strict adherence to patient identification confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses and intervening appropriately.
Advocate for patients and promote patient safety throughout the perioperative continuum.
Accurately and timely document patient care in accordance with NEBH and departmental policies.
Coordinate care with ancillary departments to support efficient surgical workflow.
Ensure proper specimen collection labeling and handling following patient identification protocols.
Communicate effectively with patients families physicians and members of the healthcare team.
Maintain NEBH Clinical Nursing competencies.
Adhere to infection prevention standards including hand hygiene sterile technique and safe handling of biohazardous materials.
Ensure equipment is properly maintained cleaned and prepared for patient care.
Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
Comply with all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards including Joint Commission OSHA and Fire Safety requirements.
Maintain required licensure certifications and mandatory education.
Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Foster a collaborative respectful and professional work environment.
Serve as a resource and mentor for colleagues students and new staff members as appropriate.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Pay Range:
$37.00 - $95.37The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors that may include seniority education training relevant experience relevant certifications geographyof work location job responsibilities or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials call pay premium pay overtime pay and other additional pay practices as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
